EOTD&FOTD: My take on the modern Cleopatra look!

Hello everyone! Another EOTD & FOTD for you guys :) I was thinking what look to do in my free time. I thought of something super dramatic and then things turned out to be a little different and tada! Next moment I'm putting on accessories to amp up the look! :D

To be honest, I edited the pics where I have my full face makeup. Why? I wanted the look to look very Egyptian and have that golden touch to it. Also, the pics didn't come out bright and detailed enough. I use my phone camera so my pictures are never HD quality! :(

I had to switch my eyelashes as they were not willing to stay. Also, I had changed the wing slightly.

When I think about Egyptian looks, the first feature that strikes me is the eyes and the super dramatic liner. Flawless skin with a lovely glow. Loads of golden. Bronzed skin. Super sharp features which I obviously had to achieve with makeup. Like that movie... the mummy. Oh! I love that movie! I thought I'd just create one Egyptian look and I loved the outcome of it! Too bold to step out in but super fun!

Things Used:

Oriflame Face Perfect Primer
Colorbar Perfect Match Primer
Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Makeup Foundation
Meylon Pure Invisible Oil Control Powder 12hrs
Meylon Blush Palette
Maybelline Cheeky Glow in Peachy Sweetie
Tips & Toes Shimmer Brick

Eyeshadows from Faces Bloom Makeup Kit & Lacvert Eyeshadow Palette
Jordana Fineliner for Eyes
Meis Eyebrow Powder
Lakme Eyeconic Kajal for tightlining
Artmatic Eyelashes
VOV Eyeliner Pen

Pretty Cosmetics in Desire ( sheer brown lipstick with golden shimmer )
You can even use lip colours like Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick in Bare or any MLBB shade. You can even use a nice tinted lipbalm like Nivea Fruity Lip Balm etc. Just make sure to go a bit slow with the lips. A hint of shimmer on the lips would look gorgeous too!

Did you like this makeup look? If you were to recreate an Egyptian look, what would it be like? Share below! :)

Bharat & Dorris Brushes Worth The Trouble?

Hey everyone, if you read my posts, you must have read about my Bharat & Dorris Haul. I faced a lot of trouble with the service ( courier rather ) as you all know. Was it worth the trouble? We all know how important makeup application is. So when I come across a good brand with affordable brushes then why not? Let's see! I bought 4 makeup brushes and I had received 2 complimentary gifts.

1. B&D Foundation Brush #58 (INR 790)

This brush comes in three sizes. Small, Medium and Large. I am so sorry but the website has removed the price tags on their products recently and I am not sure why! Any ways, this brush is super soft. Distributes powder well, applies powder foundation well, blends everything into place. I would not recommend for liquid foundation because after one wash, the hair flares and it sheds quite a bit. You can get similar brushes in different brands at an affordable range so I wouldn't say it's a must have.

2. B&D Liquid Foundation Brush #49 (INR 550)

The foundation bristles are shorter and firmer compared to the few I have in my vanity. I have used this for both cream and liquid foundation and I must say that it does it's job very well. It gives a good medium coverage and does not give any streaky application. Even after washing it a couple of times, the bristles are still as good as new with zero shedding. Also, it looks quite nice for the price. Feels slightly luxurious :P. If you are searching for a good quality foundation brush with an affordable price tag, go for this! :)

3. B&D Eye Buffer #63 ( INR 450 )

After a MAC MUA, applied the pro long concealer on my face with a eye buffer brush, I wanted one without the huge price tag. It was then I decided to go for two of these brushes instead of one. Why two? eye buffing brushes are so difficult to find! I am glad I bought two. This brush is so soft. It doesn't poke my skin or eye like the Vega Eye Blending Brush. Eye shadow blending? check. Buffing concealer? check. Applying highlights or contouring the nose? check. Then what was left unchecked? the after wash effects. The bristles flared like a bad hair day. I really liked this brush though. I feel it's great as we don't get good brushes here! It is worth the try definitely!

4. Complimentary Gifts

The lip pencil is a beautiful shade. Similar to that of Colorbar Thrilling Pink Velvet Matte Lipstick . It lasts for 4 hours. However, it is very drying and has such a funny shape that cannot be sharpened.

The lipgloss looked so cute in the tiny packaging and it was a lovely coral. It is very sheer and last for 2 hours.

Now that I have reviewed the brushes, which one would you pick? Do you know of any affordable tools? Do let me know! :)

EOTD: Purple & Gold Eye Makeup

Hello everyone! Looking at my old EOTD's I can point out so many flaws because I am forever learning something new in makeup. These EOTD's that I'm posting these days, are much better than my previous. Lately I have been obsessed in eye makeup with some shimmery/glittery content. I am trying to do all the colours possible.. So here is the purple and gold eye makeup again out of my creativity :D

Things Used:

Miss Claire 98 in 1 eye shadow palette
Jordana Loose Eyeshadow in Go Gold
Lakme Eyeconic Kajal
Cameleon Line and Design Eye Shadow and Eye Liner in Purple
Meilin Glam Shine Eyeliner in Lavender
Miss Claire False Lashes
Meis Eyebrow Duo
Jordana Undercover Cream Concealer in light medium
Skin Food Buckwheat Loose Powder in 23

I think this eye makeup will cater to so many of you'll as purple and gold both go very well with brown eyes and suit a wide range of skin tones.

I hope you all liked this look! Do you like purple eye shadow?

EOTD with Marsala!

Hello everyone! When I could not sleep at night, I thought I'd do an EOTD. So many colours to choose from.. I decided on Marsala ( I always pronounce it as Masala :P ). Why? because it is the colour of the year. To be honest, I had no idea how Marsala even looked like till I googled it and I am glad I did cause it's too beautiful! It falls in the categories of reds. Leans towards oxblood but more towards red. Okay, that was helpful lol. So here it is!

Things Used:

Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Stick in Blackmail
Lakme Eyeconic Kajal
Just Gold Blue Glitter
Kidley False Eyelashes
Jordana Creamy Concealer

The eye shadow is much much darker in person. I have lighting issues since forever but you have an idea of how it looks! At first when I thought of creating this look, I thought it would be too dramatic in person but it looked quite wearable and really pretty! the glitter on the lower lash line really helps opening up the eyes after using a dark shade of eye shadow on the lids! Overall, I was pretty pleased with the look cause it was totally out of my own creativity!

What do you think of this look?

Much Love,
